Composed is in commercial beta. Core features — cover letter drafting, CV tailoring, ATS scoring, proactive outreach, and the application pipeline — are stable and in active daily use. Some features are still in development (localisation for African markets, institutional pilot mode). Beta means the app is fully usable but you may occasionally encounter rough edges; we fix known issues in regular updates.
iOS, Android, and browser access are not currently supported. Composed is a native desktop application — your data stays on your machine.
Composed checks for updates when you open the app and installs them automatically. Updates are cryptographically signed — only official releases will install. The version number is shown at the bottom of the sidebar inside the app.
If an update fails to install, download the latest version directly from this page and run the installer — your data and settings are stored separately and will not be affected.

Composed is a founder-led product operated by Harry Butcher (Netherlands). If the founder is unavailable, the support inbox at support@bemhatech.nl is monitored by a designated deputy. We will provide at least 30 days' notice if the product is ever to be discontinued.
Everything you put into Composed is stored as files on your Desktop:
~/Desktop/job-apply-profile.json — your name, CV, tone preference, API keys~/Desktop/job-apply-history/ — one file per application: job info, tailored CV, letter, match score~/Desktop/job-apply-outreach.json — your outreach pipelineThese files are yours. You can back them up, inspect them, or delete them at any time. They survive app updates. Your licence key is also stored locally and is never uploaded to Bemhatech.
Your application files — CV, letters, history — are stored on your machine and are not uploaded to Bemhatech as files. If you use a pilot code, your CV text passes through a Bemhatech-operated server (proxy.bemhatech.nl, Amsterdam) on each AI request before being forwarded to Anthropic. It is not stored there. If you use your own Anthropic API key, requests go directly to Anthropic and Bemhatech receives nothing.
When you use AI features (Extract Job, Match CV, Draft Letter, Improve, Refresh, Outreach drafts), your CV text and letter are transmitted to generate the AI response. The path depends on your access method:
proxy.bemhatech.nl (Bemhatech, Amsterdam) → Anthropic Claude API. The proxy records aggregate token counts for credit-cap enforcement only.In both cases, your content is processed in transit and is not stored on Anthropic's servers under your identity. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Every release is documented. The version number and release notes are shown in the Updates section of the Composed sidebar. A full changelog is maintained in the app's GitHub repository.
